6.1 What is segmentation and profiling?

In order to design, offer and recommend products and to send our customers and users promotions and commercial and advertising communications in as personalized a manner as possible according to their interests, tastes, characteristics, purchase history or use of our Website, we use segmentation, analytical and profiling techniques.

Segmentation and profiling are automated techniques and processes, the purpose of which is to improve the quality of the information on customers and users that we have. The application of profiling techniques on customer and user data allows us to ascertain and define quality requirements and rules on these data and Segmentation techniques allow us to segment customers and users based on the different requirements and rules obtained with profiling techniques. In this way, we can obtain a common profile of customers and users that we can use to design, offer and recommend promotions, products and information on healthy eating, easy recipes, lifestyle, etc., in a much more personalized and appropriate manner according to their characteristics, interests, needs and preferences.
