Chocolate plum cake with strawberries

What you need

Ingredients


300 g butter
250 g sugar
1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar or vanilla essence
5 eggs
40 g cocoa powder
375 g flour
4 teaspoons of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
5 tablespoons milk
100 g of large strawberries

For the chocolate cream:
150 g dark fondant
130 ml of whipping cream

Así puedes prepararlo

    1. Put the softened butter in a bowl, add the sugar, vanilla sugar and salt and beat with an electric whisk until blended.
    2. Add the milk and the eggs one by one, beating until they are blended in.

    3. Sift the flour with the baking powder and cocoa and add to the mixture into two halves. Pour into the 24 cm rectangular mould

    4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 55 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool.

    5. Heat the cream in a saucepan and pour into a bowl over the chopped chocolate . Stir until you obtain a smooth chocolate cream.

    6. Leave to cool until the texture is thick enough to spread with a spatula. Spread the cream over the cake and decorate with the strawberries.

      Tip:
      If you like strawberry jam, cut the cake horizontally and fill with jam. Put it together again and continue with the procedure.
