Ingredients


Sandwich bread 24 cm:

500 g flour

500 g honey

12 g baking powder

1/2 teaspoon aniseed

1/2 tespoon ground cinnamon

Pinch of ground cloves

Salt

  • 1. Heat up the honey in a the pan, remove the foam that forms on the top and leave to cool.


    2. Empty the flour into a bowl so that it forms a pile, add the honey and a pinch of salt in the middle and the aniseed. Mix until you get a smooth mixture. Roll into a ball, cover with a cloth and leave to rest for 1 hour.

    3. Mix the yeast with the cloves. Add it to the mixture that you have rested and knead until well distributed.

    4. Place in the mould and bake in the oven, pre-heated to 190°C, for 35-40 minutes. *For the 28 cm sandwich bread mould 40-45 min.

    5. Dilute the sugar in the milk, and when the indicated cooking time has passed, brush the surface of the gingerbread with the mixture of milk and sugar. Leave it inside the oven with the door open for 5 minutes so that it forms a crust.

    6. Remove, turn out and leave to cool on a rack.
