Plum cake

What you need

Ingredients


200 g flour
200 g butter
200 g sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon of baking powder
4-5 red plums
1 dash brandy (optional)
1 tablespoon of icing sugar

Así puedes prepararlo

    1. Wash the plums, cut into quarters and remove the stones. Cut the quarters in half, sprinkle with brandy and set aside.
    2. Break the eggs and separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the yolks with the sugar until you obtain a white batter, then add the softened butter.

    3. Sift the flour and the baking powder and add to the batter. Beat the whites into stiff peaks and fold into the yolk mixture.

    4. Pour the batter into the mould and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.

    5. Then quickly open the oven, spread the plums over the surface, and continue cooking for another 35 minutes.

    6. Turn out, leave to cool and sprinkle with icing sugar.
