2 cloves garlic, pelled and chopped
1 kg/2 1/4 lbs minced meat
250 g/9 oz onions finely chopped
150 g/5 oz breadcrumbs
60 g/2 oz Cheddar cheese grated
1 carrot
1 pinch of pepper
1 pinch of salt

In a large bowl, mix together the meat, onions, carrot, garlic, cheese and breadcrumbs and stir in pepper and salt.
Mix together well, then use your hands to form a dough. Preheat the oven at maximum heat.
Press the dough into the mould and bake for approximately 35 minutes at 200º C, 400º F,Gas mark 6.
Allow to cool completely. Place a serving dish over the mould, turn over and serve.
