In fact, these nutritious recipes are great at any time of the day, whether you want to recharge your batteries mid-morning or for an afternoon snack. Or, if you’ve got an active lifestyle, they’re ideal for an energy boost before or after training.

But just because these recipes have got “fit” or “healthy” in the title doesn’t mean you need to use special supplements, additives, or protein powders to make them. On the contrary, they’re made with the simplest ingredients that you’re sure to have right there at home in the cupboard.

3 healthy fit biscuit recipes

Banana and yoghurt fit biscuit

Ingredients

  • 250 g of natural yoghurt

  • 80 g oat flakes or oat flour

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 sachet of baking powder

  • 2 ripe bananas

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC. If you are using oat flakes, blend them in a blender.

  2. Peel the bananas and mash them.

  3. Beat the eggs in a bowl, add the yoghurt and continue beating.

  4. Add the oats, baking powder and mashed banana, then blend everything until you have a smooth batter.

  5. Pour the mixture into a cake mould and bake for 35-40 minutes or until you can poke a toothpick in the centre and it comes out clean.

 

Healthy chocolate and raspberry cake

 

Ingredients

  • 80 g oat flakes or oat flour

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 sachet of baking powder

  • 4 handfuls of raspberries

  • ½ glass of milk or vegetable drink

  • 2 tablespoons of pure cocoa powder

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ºC. If using oat flakes, blend them in a blender.

  2. Beat the eggs in a bowl. Then add the milk, oats, baking powder and cocoa powder and continue beating until smooth.

  3. Pour half of the mixture into a cake mould, add the raspberries, and pour the other half on top.

  4. Bake the cake for 35–40 minutes or until you can poke a toothpick in the centre and it comes out clean.

 

Apple and cinnamon fit cake

 

Ingredients

  • 80 g oat flakes or oat flour

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 apples

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

  • 125 g of natural yoghurt

  • 1 teaspoon or a sachet of baking powder

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ºC. If you are using oat flakes, blend them in a blender.

  2. Wash and peel the apples. Cut one apple into cubes and the other into slices. Cover them with lemon juice to prevent them from going brown.

  3. Put the blended oat flakes, eggs, cinnamon, natural yoghurt, diced apple and baking powder in a mixer. Beat the ingredients until you have a uniform dough.

  4. Pour the mixture into a cake mould and spread the apple slices on top.

  5. Bake the cake for 40 minutes or until you can poke a toothpick in the centre and it comes out clean.
